MEN IN THE KITCHEN :- ALL THINGS STUNNING

MITK aims at breaking the norms which have existed since forever. The name itself questions the society and says why only women are related to the kitchen? Why can't men cook.

And on another level it breaks one more convention that, this restaurant speciality is Mughlai cuisine but the interior is English. Why confine one cuisine to one type of environment.
As soon as you enter the restaurant you will be amazed, that how beautifully this restaurant has been done. The colour combination and the lighting went well together and it provided a very soothing view to the eye and made the whole eating affair even more enjoyable. The cool blue ,white and grey makes the place so appealing and
The place is spacious and can easily cater around 35-40 people and is on the first floor.

Staff was highly skillful and managed their customer well and they were very friendly and approachable.
They have a huge menu with loads of options to choose from.

In drinks we had:-

Oreo shake

The shake was presented in a mason jar and the quantity was pretty good. It was smooth and yummy. I drank it with relish.

MOKSHA ("Watermelon drink")

This drink had fresh watermelon juice and blueberry syrup in it and it tasted pretty good. All the watermelon fans- you are gonna love it. I felt

invigorating after having it.

For starters we ordered:-

Dahi dudhi kebabs

These were the kebabs for which any vegan can get crazy for. They were so crunchy and tender at the same time as soon as you put them in mouth, it just vanish.
A must have dish if you are visiting them.

Zaituni murg burra

This dish was suggested by the staff, and it was a fusion between Indian and Continental cuisine, and was really mouth-watering. The dish was surprisingly delightful and flavourful and the chicken was succulent. And the seasoning was on the point.

Veg spring rolls

spring rolls were crispy on the outside and were not oily at all, served with a hot and sweet sauce, which made the combination mouth-watering.

For the main course we ordered:-

Dal Mitk

Dal makhni had perfect flavour and was really delectable and the quantity was really good. RECOMMEND : the dal was creamy and lip smacking.

Lehaooni Palak Paneer

Was average. It was just a little low on spices for me as i love spicy food. But again it was seasoned well and you might like it.

Barni ka kukkad

This dish was again suggested by the staff, and we didn't regret ordering it and neither will you. It was a combination of perfect spices and soft chicken, which made the dish drool worthy. Quantity was so good that we were not able to finish it and we had to get it packed. And the presentation on the top was so amazing.

Garlic naan - Garlic naan was crispy and thin and tasted perfect
Olive chilli naan - okayish too much flavour for a bread. Couldn't accompany it with any dish as it had too much taste of its own.

SOMETHING SAUCY FOOD TRUCK

Food trucks are a way to show how India has become modern and now eating by the road is not considered wrong but rather its the new trend that is slowly taking pace and is going to be a big deal.

I visited something saucy a few days back with my sister to just chill and eat some good food. It's a Food Truck known for its delicious food and very quick service. They were parked near sector 29, Gurgaon and i had a really good experience with these guys.

First of all their food is not pricey at all and secondly the quantity is more than enough for two people. A very to the point menu and the food is nothing too fancy which in fact is a plus point for them.

Coming to the things I had here :-

Drinks :-

Green Apple Soda and Watermelon Cooler. These two were so fresh and yummy and I thoroughly enjoyed drinking them. You should definitely order these while indulging into their food items because they will provide the zing to everything you'll eat.

Mexican Chicken Salad

Well, this was my favourite out of all that I had. Super delectable and yummy. Enjoyed eating this way too much. The vegetables inside it was fresh and juicy and crunchy too. The Mexican twist was definitely there and the Chicken pieces inside it were awesome and succulent. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Fish and Chips

I am a fan of fish and chips and this one didn't disappoint me at all. The fish was tender and perfectly Cooked too. Their presentation is amazing and this particular dish looked so gorgeous and appealing to the eye. Full marks for this one.

Skewers

I had the best skewers here and I can't stop drooling over them. Their skewers was so juicy and so tender and the quantity is more than enough for one person. You cannot miss this dish at any cost. Highlyrecommended.

White Sauce Pasta

Their white sauce pasta is so droolworthy and heavenly with some really yummy flavors. They make a really nice pasta and the quantity is way too much and the quality is quite high as compared to the minimal pricing. I was so full but I still couldn't stop myself from finishing the entire box. Going back soon to eat this again.

I missed their dessert because I was so super full but I completely enjoyed eating all the yummy things I ate here. I am Surely going back to eat more.
Going to be their ardent supporter now.

UNRAVELLING LOVE WITH TASHA'S ARTISAN FOODS

TASHA'S ARTISAN FOOD is a home based  business where it's curator Natasha Minocha makes some really fresh and delightful desserts, salads, breads and more.

I was lucky to try out some of the brilliant items in the menu and also got the opportunity to have a little conversation with Natasha.

Tasha’s Artisan Foods is about 4 years old and Natasha has been  baking since she was 14 years old. And the transition from doing it for family to doing it professionally happened organically.

Natasha says, "We moved back from the US about 8 years ago, and I would just help out my close friends with food for their parties. Slowly the word spread and I realised how much I enjoy doing this for others too. Since beginning of 2012, I decided to do this professionally.   Today, I am baking out of my professionally equipped kitchen at home, doing recipe development, catering, blogging. Branding, packaging, blog, website all happened slowly but surely".

WHAT ALL I HAD :-

 PESTO ROLLS

These juicy and delectable rolls are the perfect evening snack for everyone. They had such an amazing aroma and tasted so heavenly. The pesto sauce was not too overwhelming which made it the best companion with tea or coffee. And what a beautiful presentation. Full marks for this one.

NUTELLA CHEESECAKE

This oh so heavenly cheesecake is worth dying for. So droolworthy and ambrosial. The moment you dig in, there is a gooey  layer slowly letting your spoon go in and then there's more softness and finally when you reach the end, you pick up every layer in you spoon and raise it to your nose, smell its aroma and then take it in your mouth and let it dance with your taste buds.

*droooolingggg*

MANGO CHEESECAKE

First time i had this mango cheesecake. It was as gooey and soft and tasteful like the nutella cheesecake and had fresh mangoes as its decoration on it. It looked so pretty and tasted so damn goood. Truly a magical dessert.

COUS COUS SALAD

Cous cous is my favorite thing and Natasha made me drool over it even more. This salad was just something else only. First of all, it was so fresh and looked so pretty. Every single vegetable and fruits was brand new and complimented each other in the salad. Then, the flavors were so on point :- Not too juicy or sou, just perfect.

I did not share this one with anyone because i loved it soso much.. Highly recommended

Finally, i had BAKLAVA and MULTI GRAIN BREAD

Baklava was delicious. I am not a baklava fan but this one surely was droolworthy.

I used the multi grain bread to make my favorite sandwich and now my mom didn't even say anything because she knows i had a healthy choice.

Tasha’s Artisan Foods is more like a boutique business.  Everything is made fresh to order.  They genuinely work with freshest of Ingredients, and several of them seasonal. To the extent possible, they make everything from scratch- NO pre- mixes, additives or preservatives. There is no-cookie cutter approach to the food made in my kitchen.

It is strong patronage and their appreciation for their core values that keeps them going.

As of now, they are delivering only in Gurgaon, and sometime to Delhi depending on the size of the order.

C'EST LA VIE :- JOY IN SMALL BUNDLES

C'est La vie means to let go of things which are affecting you. And this place completely justifies it's name.

First of all it's Decor is unbelievably gorgeous and mesmerised me to an extent where I wanted to just sit and stare at the hand written and decorated walls and the Beautiful lightings.

Coming to the Food I had. The menu was limited but the food here was really good.

To begin with, I had Cold Coffee and Grilled Chicken with baby spinach. The coffee was so perfect and so delectable. The coffee flavour was on point. The salad was amazing and fresh and yummy. The Chicken pieces were so juicy and so flavourful. Perfect and delish.

Then we had Tuna Sandwich and Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella sandwich which was oh so amazing. Especially the tuna sandwich was so perfectly made and was so droolworthy. The tuna filling was fresh and so yummy and juicy.
Coming to the second sandwich, it was fresh and the mozzarella was so yummy. I loved the freshness both the sandwiches provided. Highlyrecommended.

Then we Ordered Penne Arrabbiata with delicious chunks of Chicken. They served a really tasty Pasta and I completely loved it.

They've got Various kinds of pasta but I had only this one and it was oh so yummy. Surely try it if you go here.

This place is perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch or a quite Saturday dinner where you can just chill and enjoy with your loved ones.

I am definitely going back and eat here.

AMAZING TIME AT FARZI CAFE, CYBER HUB

Farzi Cafe was on my list from the last few months and finally I had the opportunity to visit this awesome place. I've heard so much about it and it all came true and made me so happy. Being one of the most talked about place in Gurgaon this cafe has the perfect aura to be famous and it does serve amazing food.

The decor and ambiance of this place is mesmerising at many levels. First of all it's very spacious and has loads of seats and so it can have many guests at once. I went during the lunch our and I was not surprised to see it was jam packed. But still, I had my own privacy and didn't feel claustrophobic or anything. I love the decor way too much and would give them extra marks for maintaining the restaurant so beautifully.

Coming to our drinks, we had Vodka based cocktails which had wine, vodka, cranberry juice and what not. The other drink had apple and a little molecular gastronomy going on too. Really delicious drinks and the presentation did not bring down the taste at all.

Coming to the Food we had :-

Bhelpuri Chaat which had a separate Masala which stayed on for so long and didn't make the Chaat soggy or tasteless. Seriously they made the chaat so well, I can't even express it. Oh so delicious and just like the street vendors and even better. Presented in a very nice manner.

Then we had Dal Chawal Arincini which was something suggested by the staff. We were a little hesitant about "dal chawal" but the moment we dig in we realised how brilliant it was. A beautiful way to make this historical dish into a modern day restaurant quality dish. Kudos to the chef for making it so well. Full marks for this one.

Then we had, chilli Potato samosas. Two of my favourite things together and I was so happy happy happy.
These cute little samosas looked so awesome and tasted even better. I mean they tasted completely like chilli potatoes. Quite spicy and chilli but I loved it.

We also had Chicken Quesadillas. This one has juicy, succulent and gooey Chicken with a very tangy dip. Perfect appetiser for people who wants something tangy and tasty.

Then we had, juicy prawns with a yummy foam on it which added such a nice flavor to it. The prawns were cooked to perfection and this was genuinely my favourite appetiser of all.

Then we had tangdi Chicken which was a yummy starter. Had some really great flavors and is quite heavy too.

Coming to the main course, I had

Chicken Bhuna Masala and butter naan

A very heavenly and tasty dish which was served in a quirky manner. Again a very simple and delectable dish but very hard to nail it. The chef has done a brilliant job with this dish because with every bite I fell more in love with it. Some really delish flavors and spices and the entire blend of these with succulent Chicken pieces just completed the whole experience. Highlyrecommended.

Then we had Chicken Chettinad with yellow rice. A very nice dish. Had those south Indian flavors and was wonderful.

The last dish we had was Spaghetti with Goan curry. Everyone who loved the aroma of sea food should Surely eat this dish because the moment we received this dish it filled the entire space with its aroma. The Spaghetti was cooked perfectly and the curry over it was super Delicious.

Coming to the desserts, we obviously had to try their two very famous desserts.

Parle G Cheesecake and Milky Way. Both of these were quite impressive. I had a little more expectations from the desserts but they were unable to deliver that to me. But nonetheless their desserts are different, delicious and worth trying.
