DAO- Way To Heaven


The Great India Golchakar Carnival i.e. GIG Carnival was on last weekend and I got the opportunity to be a part of it. This carnival took place in JLN Stadium and looked so beautiful, inside out. 


My first stop was a beautiful looking pop up of the Thai Restaurant called DAO. 
Freshness and lightness of Thai cuisine has made it a global favorite. Drawing on Thailand's traditional craftsmanship in wood, Daouses the material to create both an upscale yet unpretentious atmosphere to evoke the warmth of Thai hospitality. With over 25 years of experience, Chef Kanchit from Thailand personally sources and chooses all the ingredients featured.

DAO, meaning star, had a really cute pop up with a quirky decor and some live cooking sessions were on too.

Coming on to the food I had here...


For Drinks Me and my Friends ordered.

My favorite was the watermelon virgin mojito which was fresh and delicious.

 Then we ordered for our very favorite Dimsums
1.SPICY CHICKEN DUMPLINGS
2. SPINACH AND PRAWN ROLLS
3. CHILLI GARLIC DUMPLINGS

Chef was making these dumplings right infront of us.
They were delectable, flavorful and so yummy.

My favorite were the prawn rolls because the prawns were so juicy and tender and the spinach roll was so ambrosial. Also they had poured a sauce over it which gave the perfect Zing it needed.

 The spicy chicken dimsums were so delish and the veg chilli garlic dimsums too were heavenly.

Then we had CRISPY FISH IN THAI CHILLI SAUCE which was so droolworthy and full of spices and some really amazing flavors. The fish was so soft and the veggies complimented the dish so well. The moment i had digged in, it was love at first bite for me. Full Marks.







STUFFED MUSHROOM IN SWEET BASIL

This was a really brilliant dish and was cooked very nicely. The mushroom had a smokey flavor and the sweet basil sauce was just on point.

My favorite of all that I had from DAO

Being a fish lover, I was very eager to try this dish and I must say that it was worth the wait. The fish was so juicy and it just melted in my mouth within seconds. The veggies were really fresh and delicious. I could have eaten three to four bowls of this dish and that too without any regrets.

 *burps*



CRISPY TOFU IN CRUSHED PEPPER AND CORIANDER

Well, this dish is perfect for the vegetarians because it is not cottage cheese but tofu which according to me is a better option. The tofu was cooked perfectly and the spices were just on point. 




DAO’s menu offers a selection of delectable soups, a very wide range of salads, appetizers, and main courses with options of curries, seafood and meats along with stir-fry menu to accompaniments of noodles and rice and finally desserts and beverage options.
